About Merge PDFs

Merge PDFs — free, private, browser-based pdf tool

Combine several PDFs into one file. Drop them in, drag them into the order you want and download a single merged PDF.

Why use Merge PDFs

  • ·Files stay on your device — nothing is uploaded
  • ·No signup needed
  • ·Works in any modern browser, on any OS
  • ·Free daily use; Pro removes limits and watermarks

How to use it

  1. 1Drop two or more PDFs (up to 10 free, 100 with Pro).
  2. 2Drag the files into the order the pages should appear.
  3. 3Download one merged PDF — pages are copied unchanged, so text stays selectable.

What is kept

Pages are copied as they are — text stays selectable, links and page sizes are preserved — using pdf-lib, the same open-source library many desktop tools use. Nothing is re-rendered or recompressed.

Limits

You need at least two files. Free use covers up to 10 files at a time; Pro raises that to 100.

How it works

pdf-lib and pdfjs-dist render and edit the PDF stream directly in your browser. Tesseract.js handles OCR with on-device language packs. The processing code runs inside the page, so your file is not uploaded to a server — you can confirm this in your browser's DevTools → Network tab.

Frequently asked questions
